PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units.  Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.

Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

Gordon is the Senior Partner at Tomiuk Grycko & Associates. He joined the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1979 and holds the highest designation that the Institute awards appraisers; AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute). He also holds the P. App designation (Professional Appraiser) and was elected as a fellow of the Institute by his peers in 1998. Gordon has been appraising real estate since 1980 and founded the firm in 1988. He has acted as a mentor to local appraisers, including his business partner, Rob Grycko. Gordon served on the Provincial Council of the Manitoba Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada from 1999 to 2009, as well as, many other local, regional and national committees throughout the last 30 years. In 2001, Gordon was elected Manitoba President. He served as provincial President during 2001/2002. In 2003, Gordon was elected as the Manitoba Director to the National Board of Directors of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Gordon served the national body as the Vice President during 2004/2005 and 2005/2006, President-Elect during 2006/2007, President during 2007/2008 and Immediate Past President during 2008/2009. He continues to appraise real estate on a daily basis. He has served on the Professional Practice Appeals Sub-Committee nationally. Gordon also chaired the Land Titles Liaise Committee locally until 2019.
