ALTERNATE OVERFLOW HOTELS
The Appraisal Institute of Canada has arranged for “open room blocks” at the following hotels. Please arrange for your reservation prior to May 2, 2010 as the blocks will be released at that time and you will then receive the current higher rates at the time of booking.

Sandman Hotel
This hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Empress Hotel at 2852 Douglas Street, Victoria BC, V8T 4M5. AIC has an open room block there under the name “AIC-Appraisal Institute of Canada”. Their phone number is 604-276-1187 and you can visit their website at: www.sandmanhotels.com.
This hotel is offering a conference room rate of $109.00 plus applicable taxes per night.
PRE/POST ACCOMMODATIONS IN VANCOUVER
Should you wish to visit Vancouver prior to or after the conference the Empire Landmark Hotel (http://empirelandmark.ivancouver.com) on Robson Street has offered AIC members a corporate rate as low as $139.00 in downtown Vancouver. This rate is based upon availability so be sure to reserve your room soon!
Guestroom Reservations Policy
Please quote “Appraisal Institute of Canada” at the time of booking prior to your arrival date. Upon reservation, you must provide your credit card information to guarantee your booking.

Standard Room: $139 CAD for May and $159 CAD for June net based on single/double occupancy in a Standard Room (1 King/Queen or 2 Twin beds) per room per night, plus 10% Provincial Sales Tax and 5% Goods and Services Tax.
Deluxe Room: $159 CAD for May and $179 CAD for June net (bigger room with 2 Double beds, a wetsink and a mini fridge) based on single/double occupancy plus taxes.
Additional $20 charge plus taxes for each additional person on top of the Deluxe rate ($159 or $179). A Deluxe Room would be offered to these guests. Please note maximum of 4 people per room.
Kids 18 and under stays free!
Should you require Wireless High-Speed Internet service, the fee is $14 all inclusive per 24 hours.
Executive King/Queen/Twin Rooms: $179 CAD for May and $199 CAD for June net (6 highest floors with a premium view of the city/sea, including Wireless High-Speed Internet access, mini fridge, more colorful décor & primarily non-smoking floors), based on single/double occupancy plus taxes.
The above rates will be honoured up to three days prior and three days after your visit on an availability basis for those wishing to extend their stay.
