The AIC has a proactive and responsive communications team offering a number of resources to help the media prepare stories on appraisal, and property valuation related business issues, such as mortgage fraud, expropriation and International Valuation Standards developed in preparation for IFRS, effective January 1, 2011.

These resources include designated appraisers trained as media spokespersons, who are recognized in Canadian courts as real property experts.
