President’s Council on Diversity and Inclusion

ABOUT THE COUNCIL

The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) is dedicated to providing an atmosphere free of barriers in order to promote equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I). We celebrate and welcome the diversity of all members, volunteers, employees, and stakeholders. It is the policy of the AIC to foster an environment that respects people’s dignity, ideas, and beliefs thereby ensuring a diversity of perspectives and realities throughout the organization as well as the appraisal profession at large. We demonstrate our commitment by providing a supportive environment and a culture that welcomes and encourages equal opportunities for all.

Founded from this belief, the President’s Council on Diversity and Inclusion (the Council) is comprised of volunteers from among the membership to help ensure that the AIC’s governance structure and processes are as inclusive as the membership and public it serves. The Council will assist the AIC Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities and assessing progress towards achieving the Institute’s ED&I objectives, to ensure continued alignment.
