Thursday, June 8th, 2017

Welcome Reception – Appetizers and drinks at the Westin Ottawa

  • Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Location: The Westin Ottawa – Governor General Ballroom
  • Dress code: business casual

 

Friday, June 9th, 2017

Breakfast & Keynote Speaker

  • Breakfast time: 7:00 am –8:00 am
  • Keynote presentation: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
  • Location:  The Shaw Centre – Canada Hall 1


Meet & Greet with Lunch

  • Time: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Location: Westin Ottawa – Manitoba/British Columbia room
  • Join us for lunch to meet the other companions and your companion leaders with whom you will be exploring the beautiful Ottawa region.


Rideau Canal Cruise

  • Time: 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Pick Up Location: Departures are on the National Arts Centre side, below the Plaza Bridge (Rideau Street Bridge)
  • After lunch you will go over with the group to the canal and hop on the River Cruise boat and discover some the beautiful sites Ottawa has to offer!
  • Please note: We recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes and plan for the Ottawa weather. Dress code is casual. The remainder of the day will be a free afternoon for the companions.  Please see the Things To Do in Ottawa page for many suggested links to various other activities you may enjoy.

Networking Night – Countries & Cocktails!

  • Time: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Pick Up Location: The Shaw Centre
  • This year’s networking night is being held at the Canadian War Museum. Come to this event and celebrate your countries pride! Delicious food stations, entertainment and a beautiful exhibit to experience.
  • Dress Code: Cocktail Attire, Business Casual or dress in Canada Day theme or 4th of July theme.
  • Please note: Transportation will be provided for this event.

 

Saturday, June 10th, 2017

Breakfast

  • Time: 7:00 am – 8:30 am
  • Location: The Shaw Centre – Canada Hall 1   

Organized Tour Itinerary

Lunch & Taste of the ByWard Market Gourmet Food Tour

11:30 am – Lunch in the ByWard Market (Location TBC)

12:45 pm – Participants depart for walking tour of the ByWard Market.
Our C’est Bon Cooking guide will introduce delegates to local farmers,
specialty food shops, and notable restaurants in the ByWard Market.
Participants will meet the people behind the various food products and
get to sample some of their food creations. This activity will run rain or
shine. Participants are asked to dress appropriately for weather.

2:45pm – Participants are welcome to stay in the ByWard Market to shop
and explore at their leisure. They are responsible for making their own
way back to their accommodations.

Please note: We recommend that you wearing comfortable shoes and plan for the Ottawa weather.
Dress code: casual.


President’s Reception & Banquet

  • Time: 6:30 pm – 12:00 am
  • Location: -The Shaw Centre – Trillium Ballroom
  • Dress code: Semi Formal to Formal.

  • Companion are welcome to join the AIC Golf Day. This activity is not included in the Companion Program
  • Cost: $130.00

Brewdonkey Brewery Tour

  • Sunday, June 11th, 2017
  • Time – 2:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Join us for one of Ottawa’s most talked about tours! Drinking craft beer in Ottawa is very exciting these days! New breweries are opening in and around the region regularly. Brew Donkey is your easiest (and safest) option for exploring craft in the Ottawa area.
