We’re seeking a Full time Staff Appraiser located in the Ottawa/Quebec region who is responsive to client needs, has in-depth appraisal knowledge and provides exceptional customer service and quality.

Responsibilities

 

·         Complete a predetermined number of appraisal assignments daily/weekly while adhering to quality and performance standards

·         Manage and schedule property inspections in a timely manner to achieve service level agreement time lines

·         Update each appraisal request with appropriate time sensitive information

·         Always communicate professionally

·         Ensure that you maintain Good Standing with your respective appraisal association

·         Ensure that you have appropriate appraisal data/information access for your areas of coverage

·         Assist with internal quality reviews when required

Skills

·         Strong problem solving and decision making skills

 

·         Strong planning and organizational skills

 

·         Adaptability to an ever changing environment

 

·         Proficiency with computer related software

 

·         Ability to communicate effectively

 

·         Ability to work independently and under timeline constraints

Knowledge

·         A proven track record of professional appraisal practice.

 

·         Complete knowledge of accepted, appraisal standards, methods and practices

 

·         Thorough understanding of the general and local real estate markets

 

·         Good knowledge of local construction costs and accepted building practices

 

·         Thorough understanding of local land use policies and bylaws

Education / Work Experience

·         Must be a member in good standing with a recognized appraisal association (AIC, CNAREA, OEAQ)

 

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
