Overview The Valuation Associate will work alongside our Valuation & Advisory Services team to support the appraisal process. You will work on our technology platforms, analyze data, conduct market research and work on large projects with our Senior Staff. This opportunity will offer you the valuable experience you need as you work towards your AACI designation. Responsibilities • Market research associated with the preparation of appraisal reports. • Collection, collation and maintenance of current economic indicators, governmental and other statistical data. • Conduct land use research including mapping, usage, and zoning. • Periodic site inspections as needed. • Financial analysis and feasibility studies. • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients. • Any other duties assigned periodically. Qualifications • Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, real estate, finance or related. • Currently a candidate member of the AIC institute or willing to work towards your AACI designation. • Prior experience in commercial real estate a definite asset. • Proven interest of financial and real estate markets would be strongly preferred. • Strong research skills with dedication to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite of products. • Ability to write reports, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and an aptitude for continuous learning. • Ability to focus and multitask while providing excellent support and producing accurate and high caliber work to both the Valuation Group and to clients. • Ability to work in a team environment and cooperate with others to meet objectives. • Results-oriented, proactive, and diligent in delivering uncompromised, high-quality information to users under strict deadlines. • Demonstrate initiative and willingness to begin working. • Respect the confidentiality of clients and information Our Equal Opportunity Commitment Avison Young practices as an equal opportunity employer in all services locations around the world.
