In January 2014 AIC introduced a new two-year CPD cycle for Designated and Candidate Members. CPD credits earned by AIC members are deemed relevant if they advance their knowledge in the area of real property, as stipulated by the CPD Guidelines.
Professional Practice Seminar
AIC’s Professional Practice Seminar (formerly known as the Standards Seminar) is a mandatory requirement under the Professional Development cycle for all AIC members, including Candidates. The purpose of the seminar is to:
- Raise member awareness on key issues arising from the day-to-day practice, in the areas of the Complaint Resolution/Disciplinary Process and Insurance claims.
- Provide interpretation of ethics and appraisal standards most commonly encountered in the day-to-day.
- Provide advice on key professional practice matters to improve appraisal and business practices, and to help avoid complaints and/or insurance claims.
- Empower members by providing them with the tools and the information that will assist them in achieving and maintaining high standards of professional practice .
