PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units. Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.
Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

Greg served as a member of the Real Estate Appraisal Program HQ leadership team, with responsibilities spanning education, quality assurance, budgeting, and taxation policy. Before joining the Government of Canada, he worked as a commercial fee appraiser specializing in municipal taxation and appraisal consulting. He has been recognized as an expert witness before the Tax Court of Canada and various other courts.
A long-time contributor to the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC), Greg has served as a Professional Practice Instructor and was a member on the AIC National Board of Directors from 2008 to 2013, where he contributed to the Audit and Finance, Standards, Peer Review, and CEO Search committees. He was a member of the AIC National Investigation Committee from 2003 to 2007. Greg chaired the 2019 AIC National Conference and held leadership roles at the 2008 and 1993 National Conferences. He also served as President of the Newfoundland Association of the AIC in both 2015–16 and 2003–04, chaired numerous provincial conferences, and has been a lecturer in the appraisal industry for more than 25 years. Greg has published articles provincially and nationally. His committee leadership includes chairing the Education, Public Relations, and Applied Experience committees.
Beyond the appraisal field, Greg is a Past President of both the Mount Pearl Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Pearl Men’s Recreation Hockey League.
