Volunteer Awards
The Appraisal Institute of Canada recognizes that our volunteers play an integral role in the success of our organization. The goal of our volunteer awards is to acknowledge the contributions of our exceptional members and inspire others to make a difference in the AIC.
W.C. McCutcheon Award: The W.C. McCutcheon Award, created to mark AIC’s 80th anniversary, is an esteemed award named after AIC’s first president in 1938. The award is granted to outstanding volunteers of the Appraisal Institute of Canada who have been long-standing committee volunteers and have demonstrated leadership and commitment to the Institute. These volunteers continually go “above and beyond” in sharing their time, expertise and experience to advance the appraisal profession.

PRESIDENT’S CITATION: Awarded by the Institute to recognize in a meaningful way an individual or organization who has made a significant contribution to the growth and enhancement of the appraisal profession.
HONORARY AACI: Awarded to individuals who are ethically above reproach; who are publicly recognized as leaders in business, law, academia and other professions and who contribute to the Institute’s advancement of the profile, respect, body of knowledge and advocacy of the valuation profession.
TYLER BEATTY AWARD FOR THE TOP APPRAISER UNDER 40: Recognizes exceptional young appraisal professionals—one male and one female—who are making significant accomplishments within the appraisal profession and their community. He also served as National Conference Chair, member of the Standards Sub Committee, long time member of the Admissions and Accreditation Committee. Tyler was also a key contributor to the development of the Mass Appraisal Standard, and much, much more.
