The Appraisal Institute of Canada – Nova Scotia (AIC-NS) is a provincial affiliate of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) within Nova Scotia, working under the umbrella of the Nova Scotia Real Estate Appraisers Association (NSREAA). Appraisers within Nova Scotia are licensed under the Provincial Statute (Bill 86) the Real Estate Appraisers Act. This means that anyone engaged in the practice of real estate appraisal within the meaning of the Act must also be become a registered member of the NSREAA.
NSREAA is authorized by provincial legislation to regulate appraisers within the province. For more information, visit www.nsreaa.ca. AIC-NS represents more than 200 members and delivers AIC’s member programs and services within Nova Scotia. Our objective is to serve the profession and the public by implementing policies and programs to ensure the appraisal profession is advanced and the public is protected.
