The Appraisal Institute of Canada – Alberta (AIC-AB) is a provincial affiliate of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) within Alberta, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. Established in 1978, the AIC-AB became an official entity under the Societies Act of Alberta in 1979. It represents approximately 800 Members and delivers AIC’s member programs and services within the region. Appraisers within Alberta are licensed under the Real Estate Act and are part of the licensing and regulatory responsibilities of the Real Estate Council of Alberta.
AIC-AB’s objective is to serve the profession and the public by implementing policies and programs to ensure the profession is advanced and the public is protected.
