PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units.  Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.

Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

Thomas Croke has been in private real estate appraisal practice in the area of residential real estate consulting services since 1992. Over the years he has worked for major banks and trust companies, law firms, accounting firms as well as relocation companies and the general public. He has, over the course of the past two decades, completed real estate appraisal and consulting assignments for authorized uses such as aiding in decisions regarding purchase and sale, home renovations, estate planning and settlement, divorce settlement, employee relocation, etc., and remains available to complete appraisal reports for all of these intended uses. Tom is a member, in good standing, with the Appraisal Institute of Canada having earned the CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation in 1994. He is a past president of the AIC Newfoundland Association, having served in this volunteer position in 2006. He has also served a number of years on AIC Newfoundland Association commitees including public relations and education, and, is a former chair of the association's education committee. Tom is also an affiliate member, in good standing, with the Newfoundland Association of Realtors.
