PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units.  Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.

Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

Amedeo is the Head of Canadian Valuations & Investment Analytics for BentallGreenOak's North American Real Estate Valuations Group with a specific focus on institutional grade commercial real estate properties. His core responsibilities include the oversight of the quarterly property valuation process for a multi-asset class Canadian commercial real estate portfolio that totals over $13B in total asset value, analyzing and presenting CRE market trends and internal process and controls implementation. Prior to joining Sun Life Financial/Bentall Kennedy, Amedeo managed PwC Real Estate National Valuations practice where he managed the review and valuation of over $4.50 billion of investment properties in a variety of contexts. In addition, he also provided consulting and advisory services relating to internal valuation process and controls to a number of leading real estate companies in Canada and the U.S. Previous experience also includes - Analyst for the development group of a major Canadian Pension Fund (Ivanhoe Cambridge / Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec) where he specialized in property development. His main responsibilities included feasibility analysis & income growth strategies, risk analysis and financial reporting. During his time with Ivanhoe Cambridge, he played a vital role in the redevelopment and expansion of two premier regional shopping centres in western Canada with a combined redevelopment budget in excess of $230 million (from start to completion).
