PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units.  Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.

Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

Simon Wainwright was raised on the West Coast of BC. Since 2003, he has resided in the City of Nanaimo. Simon has recieved a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management through Vancouver Island University and has completed the Post Graduate Certficate in Real Property Valuation program through the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Since 2007, Simon has worked for Cunningham & Rivard Appraisals Ltd. as a fee appraiser. Cunningham and Rivard Appraisals Ltd. is a full-service appraisal company with office locations in Nanaimo, Duncan, and Victoria. His demographic market area is throughout Vancouver Island. In 2010, Simon received an Accredited Appraiser and Professional Appraiser (AACI, P.App.) Designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada. In 2012, Simon became an acting Partner and Director at Cunningham and Rivard Appraisals Ltd. Simon has experience in comprehensive appraisals of multifamily, residential, recreational, hospitality, resorts, commercial, agricultural, and industrial properties. Appraisal and consulting assignments have been for sale, purchase, financing, taxation, insurance, litigation, expropriation, and other purposes. Other appraisal assignments have included absorption analysis, highest and best use analysis, rental surveys, vacancy surveys, and various related real estate assignments. Simon is an active member of the Young Professionals of Nanaimo. In 2012, he was a finalist for the"Top 20 Under 40" Vancouver Island Business and Community Acheivement Award. Simon has a passion for real estate and is focused on developing a strong network throughout Vancouver Island.
