PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units.  Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.

Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

I am an AACI, P.App. designated Appraiser (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) and a member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. After graduating from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Real Estate and Housing I started working with S.W. Irvine & Associates. I now operate as an owner/partner of S.W. Irvine & Associates which employs a full-time office manager, (2) research analysts, (4) AACI, P.App. appraisers and (1) AIC Candidate Member available for appraisal work. With a collaborative team environment we are able to offer full-service real estate appraisals & consulting services for a variety of property types, including; agricultural, commercial, industrial, multi-residential and residential. We provide appraisals for various purposes including; financing, family planning, estate, divorce settlement, re-sale, capital gains, power of sale, relocation etc. My focus is the valuation of agricultural properties including; mixed farms, horse farms, cash crop farms, vacant land, dairy farms & other intensified farming operations and recreational country properties in the following areas: County of Wellington, Region of Waterloo, County of Perth, County of Dufferin, County of Simcoe and to a limited degree the Region of Peel (Caledon), City of Hamilton (Flamborough) and Region of Halton (Halton Hills).
