Anita is The Conference Planner at the Appraisal Institute of Canada who provides critical support to the annual AIC conference, committee meetings and coordinating all aspects of organizing the annual AIC Conference.

Anita has worked in the not-for-profit sector event management field for the past 10 years. Managing dozens of corporate events, board meetings, gala dinners, golf tournaments, silent auctions, fundraisers, and tradeshows.

In 2018, Anita won the Rising Star Scholarship Award for Event Planner nominated by her peers through Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and also co-chaired the Meetings Professional International (MPI) Silent Auction Dinner Committee held January 2017. Anita has worked part-time for the past 5 years as the Executive Director for a children’s charity – Variety of Ottawa helping to raise over $800,000 to help disadvantaged children in the Ottawa area.

She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ryerson University specializing in New Media, a Special Event Co-ordination Certificate, a Managing Multiple Priorities Certificate from Algonquin College along a Digital Media diploma from Inner Action Inc.
