W.C. McCutcheon Award
The W.C. McCutcheon Award, created to mark AIC’s 80th anniversary,is an esteemed award named after AIC’s first president in 1938. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment, and long-standing service to the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC).
Recipients are dedicated AIC volunteers who consistently go above and beyond, generously contributing their time, expertise, and experience to advance both the AIC and the appraisal profession.
Nomination Process and Criteria
NOMINATION ELIGIBILITY
- Member must be in good standing with AIC
- Member cannot be on the current AIC Board of Directors
- Member cannot be a previous recipient of the award
- Member must have a minimum of ten (10) years of combined volunteerism on national committee(s), working groups, programs, initiatives, etc.
- Note: AIC employees who met the criteria before becoming an employee are eligible, however contributions while being an employee are not to be included in the eligibility.
AWARD OFFERINGS
- Award with winner name, award name, and year
- Jpeg file of award name and year for email signature, business cards, marketing collateral, etc. (available after the AIC Annual Conference)
- Formal presentation of the award at the AIC Annual Conference
- Complimentary Full Registration to the AIC Annual Conference, including awards dinner/lunch
- $1,000 towards expenses to attend the presentation event
NOMINATION PROCESS
- Award Nomination Form is sent to the AIC by February 15th.
Please note: Self-nomination is not accepted. Nominations must come from peers.
- The nominees will be presented to the Executive Committee and the recommended recipients will be presented to the National Board of Directors for final ratification.
- Once approved, the recipients are contacted to be advised that they have won the award.
- The award will be presented at the AIC Annual Conference. Recipients are invited to attend the conference to accept their award. The award offerings are available to the recipients once the announcement is made to the membership.
- All submissions are evaluated independently, reviewed, and scored according to the nomination criteria.
