Professional Practice Seminar

Below is a list of Professional Practice Seminar (PPS) 1-day classroom sessions scheduled for BC in 2016 and 2017.

 

PLEASE NOTE the price of the seminar increases as we move closer to the end of the Continuing Professional Development cycle – December 31, 2017. This is to encourage members to complete the PPS early and avoid the late rush.

CANCELLATION POLICY
AIC-BC reserves the right to cancel any session which does not meet the minimum registrant requirement. In the event a session is cancelled, members will receive a full refund and will be required to register for a different date.   Members who cancel their registration less than two weeks prior to the session date will be subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee.  

 

Registration for the Fall 2016 sessions is now open. Venues will be posted and a confirmation email with location and time will be sent once details have been finalized.

On behalf of REIBC President Greg Steves, RI we would like to invite all members, industry associates, and guests to the annual Presidents Luncheon and guest speaker presentation. This years guest speaker is Ms. Jessica McDonald, President & CEO of BC Hydro.

Jessica began her career in the Public Service in 1991 and held many different roles including serving as a Deputy Minister to the Premier, Cabinet Secretary and head of the B.C. Public Service. 

Today, Jessica oversees one of the largest utilities in Canada, with 5,500 employees, over $5 billion in revenue, providing 93% clean energy and the third lowest rates in North America.

Bringing a future-focused approach to her role as CEO, Jessica’s agenda is structured around five key pillars: customer service, capital project delivery, energy management, employee engagement and continued operational improvement.

Jessica is a member of the B.C. Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada and serves as a Board Director of the Insurance Corporation of B.C. and Powerex, and Board Chair of Powertech Labs. She has been recognized nationally for her leadership in innovation and employee engagement, including the IPAC/Deloitte National Gold Award for Public Sector Leadership.

Jessica has been named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. Born and raised in British Columbia, Jessica is proud to be a part of BC Hydro.
