Job Title: Agricultural Real Estate Appraiser

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, On-site in Lethbridge
Remuneration: $50,000 – $100,000 (commission-based)

Our team of experienced appraisers provides accurate and reliable valuations for a wide range of properties, from single-family homes and multi-unit residential buildings to large commercial and industrial complexes, as well as institutional buildings like schools and churches. We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Agricultural Appraiser to join our team.
Job Description: As an Agricultural Appraiser at Reliance Appraisals, you will play a crucial role in valuing farms and vacant agricultural land within southwestern Alberta, ranging from the BC border east to Bow Island and from the US border north to Nanton. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting real estate appraisals using various approaches, such as the Direct Comparison, Income, and Cost Approaches, with an emphasis on agricultural properties.
Qualifications:
· Completed AACI, P. App. designation
· Specialization in agricultural appraisals
· Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in real estate appraisals
· Excellent communication and time management skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Familiarity with full and short narrative appraisals; experience with form appraisals is considered an asset
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough and accurate real estate appraisals for agricultural properties, utilizing the Direct Comparison, Income, and Cost Approaches to value
· Prepare detailed and precise appraisal reports, including full narrative, short narrative, and form appraisals
· Collaborate with a team of appraisers and communicate with other departments and stakeholders within the organization
· Stay updated on market trends, industry changes, and attend continuing education courses as required
· Conduct site visits and field inspections across Southwestern Alberta
Requirements:
· Demonstrated expertise in appraising agricultural properties
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as well as a willingness to travel within Southwestern Alberta
· Membership in good standing the AIC (Appraisal Institute of Canada)
