Modern Appraisals Inc. is a residential and commercial real estate appraisal firm headquartered in Cochrane, Ontario. Specializing in comprehensive appraisals for financing and private purposes, we proudly serve rural and remote communities from Hearst to Temiskaming Shores. Founded in May 2022, our company is dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology and operational efficiencies to deliver exceptional service.

At Modern Appraisals, our team works remotely and is known for our thoroughness, professionalism, and efficiency. We are committed to providing high-quality appraisal reports, supported by our proprietary database.

Overview

We seek a team member who is passionate about real estate and seeks a long-term career in appraisals. The position begins part-time, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on demand.

The ideal candidate is a go-getter already pursuing or keenly interested in a career in real estate appraisals. They should desire a flexible schedule, enjoy driving, be self-motivated, be open to learning and have familiarity with Northern Ontario. Additionally, they should aspire to become a senior appraiser in the mid to long term.

Responsibilities

Here are some of the responsibilities this candidate will be responsible for:

  • Complete appraisal inspections
  • Conclude market values
  • Complete research
  • Complete data analysis for market trends
  • Verify information
  • Network with realtors in the area

Job Qualifications & Skill Sets
To qualify for the person, the person must:

  • Have a post secondary degree
  • Be willing to be and/or become a designated member with the Appraisal Institute of Candidates in good standing.
  • Be able to work from home and ideally has an equipped home office.
  • Have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license.
  • Live within the service area. Timiskaming District is preferred.
  • Must have a clean criminal record.

Compensation

Competitive compensation with lots of room to grow

$21+ / hour or fee based commission depending on experience.

Tuition and/or Continuing Professional Development Fee support.

Mileage allowance
