The Appraisal Institute of Canada publishes the following forms, templates and samples for use by its Members.

The AIC publishes forms for use by AIC Members where the Member and the AIC deems use of the form appropriate. Depending on the assignment, the Member may need to provide additional data, analysis and/or work product not included in this form. The AIC makes no representations, warranties or guarantees as to, and assumes no responsibility for, the data, analysis or work product provided by the individual Member(s) in the specific contents of any form.
Member may remove an assumption or limiting condition only when it is not relevant or not appropriate to a particular assignment in its templated form.
Acceptable examples of removing or replacing clauses are:
- Limiting Condition #3
- The text: “No registry office search has been performed” may be removed and replaced with “A registry office search has been performed.” when the Member has performed a title search.
- Limiting Condition #5
- The text: “No survey of the property has been made.” may be replaced with “A survey of the property has been made.” when a survey has been performed or a Land Surveyor has been engaged.
- Limiting Condition #9
- If verification of information was undertaken, an outline of the steps taken can be added.
- Limiting Condition #16
- This clause may be removed if the Member has created their own form.
- The word “appraiser” when and where applicable, may be replaced with the word:
- “Reviewer”
- “Consultant”
- “Reserve fund Planner”
- “Assessor”, or
- The generic term “Author”
A Member should exercise the utmost caution when removing or modifying mandatory clauses as it could affect insurance coverage for the report. A Member is risking a possible denial of coverage for themselves and their clients.
