Louis Poirier is the Director, Property Tax Services with CBRE’s Valuation and Advisory Services division in Montreal, Quebec. Louis’ practice focus is property assessment and tax reviews. He also provides litigation support for expropriation, arbitration, and other real estate related assignments. Louis’ real estate career began in the late 1980’s in Moncton, New Brunswick when he joined the family’s real estate sales and appraisal firm. A second generation AACI, he has extensive experience valuing most types of real estate. He has completed valuation and consultative assignments in nine of ten Canadian provinces and has lived in three. Louis is an avid volunteer with the AIC having served as provincial board president in NB, chair of the National Communications Committee, chair of the National Standards Sub-Committee, provincial president in Quebec, and current National Board Member for Quebec’s provincial association.
