Formerly, the Senior Appraiser for one of Canada’s major financial institutions, Scotiabank in Toronto, Michael has over 37 years of professional property appraisal experience, consisting of 15 years in the Institutional sector and over 22 years in the private sector.

A member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 1973, Michael has extensive volunteer experience with the Institute, both provincially and nationally.

In 2008 Michael was elected to The Appraisal Institute of Canada’s Board of Directors, during which time he also concurrently served for a period of 2 years on the AIC – Ontario Board of Directors. In 2010 Michael was elected to the position of Vice President of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He also served as Chair of the Ad Hoc Professional Practice Seminar Redevelopment Committee. In March 2011 Michael assumed the position of President Elect and served as AIC President from June 2011 to June 2012.
