Compensation: Fee-split per file/assignment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interior and exterior residential property inspections.
  • Analyze property characteristics, market conditions, and comparable sales.
  • Prepare appraisal reports in accordance with CUSPAP and lender requirements.
  • Research zoning, land use, and neighborhood data to support valuation conclusions.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and meet report deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, homeowners, and industry partners.
  • Work independently while receiving support and mentorship from designated appraisers.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation for each assignment.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments at once.
  • Willingness to work towards the designation.
  • Prior experience is an asset but willing to train new professionals.
  • Working knowledge of appraisal softwares (e.g., CRAL, ACI), MLS TRREB, GeoWarehouse, and regional mapping tools

Must have: Must be registered as a Candidate Member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada OR eligible for Candidacy i.e. completion of all necessary requirements.

  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Access to a laptop/computer, smartphone, and measuring tools (e.g., laser measure or tape).
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
