Originally from Scotland, Richard is a former college teacher. He holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Adult Education (Business and Management), as well as a professional diploma in post-secondary teaching.
In his most recent role, he oversaw and developed a comprehensive, industry-standard training program for the approximately 15,000 members of Greater Vancouver REALTORS. Richard holds the RSG.D governance designation and the Canadian REALTOR® Association Executive designation (CREA) , and has worked in the real estate industry since 2013.
In his free time, he enjoys a wide variety of outdoor adventure sports and also has a passion for motorcycling, reading, music, travel, photography, cooking, and squash.
