À NOTER: En vertu des Normes uniformes de pratique professionnelle en matière d’évaluation au Canada (NUPPEC), les membres désignés CRA doivent utiliser cette désignation dans le cadre de l'évaluation, de la révision ou de la consultation de logements résidentiels individuels non aménagés et de logements contenant au plus quatre (4) logements familiaux autonomes. Lorsqu'un membre désigné CRA signe un rapport au-delà de sa portée, il doit être co-signé par un AACI.
Dans le cadre des NUPPEC, avant d’accepter une affectation ou de conclure une entente pour exécuter une mission, l’évaluateur doit posséder les connaissances et l’expérience nécessaires pour accomplir la tâche avec compétence, ou prendre toutes les mesures nécessaires ou appropriées pour exécuter la tâche avec compétence.
Kari Benum began her real estate career in 2004 as a Residential Real Estate Appraiser. She obtained a CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2008 and remains a member in good standing. Kari additionally completed her accreditation as a Certified Reserve Planner (CRP) with the Real Estate Institute in 2012. Kari was employed as a Mortgage Development Manager, specializing in the Builder's Market within the financial sector before she joined a well-established independent real estate valuation, consulting and advisory firm in early 2012, and evolved into the role of Senior Certified Reserve Planner. Kari led the Depreciation Report/Reserve Fund Study consulting team until late 2018, at which time she returned to her roots as a Residential Appraiser. Kari joined the FCT, Appraisal Relations Specialist- Valuation Solutions team as a non-fee Appraiser in 2021, and is looking forward to the opportunity to keep learning and expanding her skills in the industry.
Kari attended Mount Royal College, where she obtained a Diploma in Justice Administration-Criminology. Kari was a member of the 2015 National Conference Committee in Kelowna and Co-Presenter on Reserve Fund Studies and a Co-Presenter and panelists at the 2016 National Conference in Winnipeg.
