About Us: Appraisal Group Muskoka is a full service company providing appraisals in Cottage Country. We provide reliable well researched appraisals to our clients.  We love our clients and are a busy small office offering professional service and accurate high quality appraisals with strict attention to detail.

Our commercial valuations include a a wide range of properties including resorts, marinas, campgrounds, mixed use, office, retail, light industrial and special use properties.

We also complete valuations on institutional, multi-family, residential including high value waterfront properties, islands, and acreages.

We are currently seeking an experienced appraiser to join our team. We have a centrally located office with full support staff and offer a flexible work/life balance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experienced candidate or designated member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada
  • If a candidate, you are actively working toward designation by evident completion of required courses
  • ±2 years of professional experience in real estate appraisals or equivalent
  • Excellent grammar and ability to write quality narrative reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of “Cottage Country” is an asset, but willing to train
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and research skills

Responsibilities:

  • Property visits for the purpose of inspection
  • Preparing detailed and accurate appraisal reports inclusive of the Income Approach, Direct Comparison and Cost Approach as required
  • Work collaboratively with staff, other contractors, and stakeholders within the organization
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients through various communication channels including email, phone and in person

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in appraising commercial properties
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as well as a willingness to travel within our service area
  • Membership in good standing the AIC (Appraisal Institute of Canada)
  • Written and Spoken English proficiency
  • In office is a requirement for 3+ days per week

This is a commission/fee split position

The compensation is negotiable based on experience and education/designation
