I’m completing my Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering at Western University (expected April 2026) and I’m seeking a long-term career path where I can combine analytical work with field-based inspection, professional standards, and independent responsibility. In my recent role as a Site Engineer with China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau, I developed strengths that align closely with residential appraisal work: disciplined documentation, strong attention to detail, and consistent on-site verification. I maintained registers and controlled revisions across multidisciplinary packages, reviewed issued and shop drawings, raised and tracked RFIs, and prepared QA/QC and inspection records to support consultant and authority reviews. This experience trained me to build clear, defensible files—collecting evidence, validating accuracy, and documenting decisions in a way that stands up to scrutiny. I’m also comfortable working independently and managing priorities. On-site, I routinely coordinated with multiple stakeholders, resolved issues quickly, and kept deliverables moving under time constraints. I enjoy work that rewards self-direction and consistency, and I’m motivated by the opportunity to progress toward an AIC designation and grow into an independent practice with the support of an established firm. Accurate Appraisal’s training and mentorship model is especially appealing to me. I’m ready to learn your inspection process, reporting standards, and market approach, and I can bring a strong work ethic, clear communication, and a careful approach to field observations and documentation.
