Find A Candidate

Use this search tool to find a candidate. If you don’t know the name of the candidate, search by City/Town, Province, and/or Organization.

None of the above are mandatory.

Tip: If no results come up, try a new search with less/different information.
Example: If the property to appraise is in a small village, try to search for a candidate in the closest biggest city.

Candidate Members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) are individuals who are pursing the AIC Program of Professional Studies to obtain the AACI (Accredited Appraiser Institute of Canada) or CRA (Canadian Residential Appraisal) professional designation. AIC Candidate Members work actively in the profession as “appraisers-in-training”, within the limits defined by AIC’s standards of professional practice, policies and regulations. In the preparation of an assignment, AIC Candidate Members can provide professional assistance to a designated AIC appraiser such as complete the inspection of the property, research and analyze data and apply the valuation methodologies to determine a final estimate of value.

AIC Candidate Members who co-sign reports with AIC Designated Members are jointly responsible for the report and the work must comply to AIC’s Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP). AIC Candidate Members must have professional liability insurance under AIC’s Insurance Program and, be registered in the Candidate Co-Signing Registry as soon as they enter into a co-signing relationship to be eligible for coverage in the event of a claim.
