Seminars & Events
Professional development is an important step to enhance your career and professional growth. AIC-BC, in partnership with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, offers conferences, professional practice seminars, courses, webinars, and other events to help their members stay leading edge within the valuation profession and real estate sector.
The AIC-BC continues to monitor the situation and orders surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. To support the health and safety of AIC-BC Members and to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, all AIC-BC in-person events have been postponed until further notice. AIC-BC will work with Chapters over the coming months to transition annual meeting and education opportunities into virtual format. During these unprecedented times, AIC-BC is committed to delivering the information that Members need through webinar events, newsletters and email, and social media channels. Please check back for more updates.
For a complete list of the upcoming provincial and national events, please see the list of events below.
PPS Classroom Seminars & AIC-BC Events
At their fall 2020 Board meeting, the AIC-BC Board of Directors had a lengthy discussion regarding holding in-person events amid the ongoing pandemic. While the probability of a return to “normal” is likely to occur in the near future, there is still uncertainty as to when government restrictions for social gatherings will be lifted. As the AIC-BC is committed to the health and wellness of its staff, Members, and the community overall, the AIC-BC Board of Directors has elected to refrain from holding in-person Chapter and Provincial events until July 31, 2020.
Accordingly, there will be no offerings of classroom Professional Practice Seminar (PPS) sessions for the 2020-2021 CPD Cycle. AIC-BC Members are reminded of the upcoming deadline to complete the 2020 AIC PPS On-Demand Session for the 2020-2021 CPD Cycle. Members must register and complete their PPS session by June 30th, 2021.
AIC-BC is committed to delivering programs and services to its Members. AIC-BC Committees and Chapters hope to plan and offer an array of virtual webinars and events in 2021. Please visit the AIC-BC Seminars and Events page and stay connected through AIC-BC’s social media channels and monthly Member Bulletins for updates.
