Session 1: Growth and development in British Columbia has impacted all forms of real estate including lands on First Nations.   The development, use, and valuation of these lands poses a unique challenge to valuators and those providing advice.  We have speakers to provide insight from their respective fields regarding the potential pitfalls and opportunities encountered when working with real estate located on First Nation lands.

Session 2: The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority manages a significant portfolio of Port and Industrial Properties in the lower mainland.  Understanding the restrictions which effect land use and the property valuation can appear complex to most.  Nathan Nottingham, Manager of Real Estate for Port Metro will explain the rational of land uses as well as the underlying pressures on industrial land use in the lower mainland
