Professional development is an important step to enhance your career and professional growth. AIC-BC, in partnership with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, offers conferences, professional practice seminars, courses, webinars, and other events to help their members stay leading edge within the valuation profession and real estate sector.
The AIC-BC continues to monitor the situation and orders surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. To support the health and safety of AIC-BC Members and to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, all AIC-BC in-person events have been postponed until further notice. AIC-BC will work with Chapters over the coming months to transition annual meeting and education opportunities into virtual format. During these unprecedented times, AIC-BC is committed to delivering the information that Members need through webinar events, newsletters and email, and social media channels. Professional Practice Seminars – One-day Classroom Sessions
Eligibility: Designated Members and Candidate Members who have already completed the Introduction to Professional Practice Seminar (distance learning or two-day classroom session).
Education Resources: The Professional Practice Seminar ( PPS) material is available in electronic form only. There will be no material available on site. Participants are responsible for printing and/or downloading the PPS material. The PPS material is available to all AIC members in the Members’ Section of the AIC’s website here.

Introduction to Professional Practice Seminar (ITPP) – For New Candidate Members
Eligibility: Any individual interested in becoming a Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. More information on the ITPP can be found here.
AIC-BC reserves the right to cancel any session which does not meet the minimum registrant requirement. In the event a session is cancelled, members will receive a full refund and will be required to register for a different date. Members who cancel their registration less than two weeks prior to the session date will be subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee.
Venues will be posted once details have been finalized. An email with location, date, time, and link to materials will be sent one week prior to the seminar.
There are currently no classroom sessions of the Professional Practice Seminar Scheduled for the 2020-2021 Continuing Professional Development Cycle.
